Winter 2025 Virtual Drop-In Schedule
*Winter drop-ins will begin on Monday, January 6th, 2025*

Drop-ins are 10-15 minute meetings with a professional pre-health and academic advisor for the following questions (and they are the quickest way to get answers rather than email):
- One quarter schedule planning only (no long term course planning)
- Graduation check for current or next quarter graduates
- Interpretation of university policy (CR/NC, Grades, Leaves, Withdrawals, etc.)
- Follow-up with an advisor from a recent appointment (within last 2-3 weeks)
- Referrals to campus resources
- Questions regarding ASSIST.org (i.e. transferring courses from community college)
- Course substitutions
Drop-ins are offered weekly throughout the quarter while classes are in session:

Be Patient and Conscientious When Booking
We ask for your patience when booking. When appointment availability is limited you may plan to join drop-ins. Or you may email, call or visit our office and our staff will try to assist you in finding answers or an appointment time. We recommend joining drop-ins as a first measure always. You also may want to bookmark the first available appointment link below and check for 15- or 30-minute appointments regularly.
Use your Cal Poly email address to book an appointment/contact us. It is recommended that you turn off email forwarding and begin to use your Cal Poly email when reaching out to departments or faculty. This helps departments and faculty verify who you are.
Please do not be a NO SHOW! If you cannot keep your scheduled appointment use the Calendly link in your appointment confirmation email to RESCHEDULE or CANCEL so that another student may utilize that slotted time.
First-Year Students: Meet with the Mustang Success Center

You will meet with the professional advisors in the Mustang Success Center throughout your freshman year. We look forward to working with you in your second year, through graduation, and beyond!
Biological Sciences Students: Second-Years and Above
Dr. Christy Strand is offering in-person academic advising appointments to second-, third- and fourth-year Biological Sciences Department students on Tuesdays 2:00-5:00pm and Fridays in May from 1:00-3:00pm in Dr. Strand's office (Bldg 33, Rm 266).

Pre-Health Advising
First-Year, Second-Year, and Newly Pre-Health Students
You will want to meet with a pre-health peer advisor and visit our pre-health website. This site is updated frequently as we know there is much to keep up with and monitor, especially during these unusual and challenging times.
Third- and Fourth-Year Pre-Health Students
If you'd like to schedule an application or personal statement appointment with a pre-health staff advisor, please visit our pre-health website. If you have other questions or needs, they can likely be addressed by one of our pre-health peer advisors during their drop-in hours.

Appointment Cancellation Policy
As a courtesy to our office and your peers, if you need to cancel or reschedule your advising appointment, use the link in your confirmation email or give us a call.
We prefer at least 24 hours advance notice, but we know last minute things come up and that's okay.
